About
FreshFoldRow is written by someone who has run the laundry for a large household for years, in a room where things go wrong quietly and expensively. The organizing idea here is conflict, because that is the part of laundry nobody sells. A bottle is sold on what it does. What it must never touch is on the back, in small type, or in a public safety notice that has never once been read by the person it was written for.
What this site publishes
It publishes six pairings that should not happen, five fiber families and what each class of product does to them, five words that appear on packaging, and a catalog of fifty-four listings read for what they state. It publishes the source for anything it says about chemistry or hazard, in the same section as the sentence, and it publishes the rules its two tools use.
What it will not publish
It will not publish a dose, a dilution, a temperature or a soak time, because all four belong on the package the manufacturer printed and a second number in circulation helps nobody. It will not publish a home mixture or a recipe of any kind. It will not tell you how to rescue a garment that has already been damaged, because that is a job for the garment maker or a professional cleaner and guessing at it in public would be worse than silence.
It makes no claim about anyone’s skin, allergies, asthma, eczema or sensitivity. It makes no recommendation by a child’s age. It does not rank products on safety or on environmental grounds, and it does not treat any private mark as a government standard.
Where the facts come from
Statements about chemistry and hazard come from published documents: CDC, EPA, CPSC, the Federal Trade Commission, and university extension publications, with a link each time. Product characteristics come from the seller listing and are introduced with the words the listing states. Nothing on this site was tested, washed or tried by anyone here, and there are no invented experts anywhere on it.
The two tools are under Tools, the words on packaging are under Labels, and the commercial arrangement is set out on Affiliate Disclosure.
